Landscaping along the bike path

October 2, 2019 - Planted over 30 years ago, the shrubs found along the Rue de la Commune bicycle path have reached the end of their lifetime and are producing more branches than leaves. They will be progressively replaced with new vegetation and street furniture. A geotextile membrane has temporarily been put in place, along with gravel, to control overgrowth of roots and other invasive species.

New landscaping work has started since late June 2019.

Update – Landscaping work on the bicycle path between McGill and Saint-Laurent streets has now been completed.  In total, 35 trees of different species, 120 shrubs and more than 200 different perennials were planted.
