As part of ongoing site maintenance and efforts to preserve our urban tree canopy, tree maintenance work will be carried out shortly near Bota Bota.
Two ash trees will undergo pruning to remove dead or damaged branches and promote their long-term health. A third ash tree, which has unfortunately died, will need to be removed for safety reasons. To maintain the area's tree cover, this tree will be replaced with a maple tree.
The work will be carried out by a specialized contractor and is intended to ensure the safety of visitors while preserving the quality of the landscape environment at the Old Port of Montréal.
