LE GRAND MINUIT DE MONTRÉAL 2026 - Light up the New Year!

Le Grand Minuit is how Montréal does New Year’s, with lights, music, and a whole lot of winter magic.  Every December 31st, we meet at the Old Port to ring in the new year together. Local artists heat up the stage. The whole city counts down in chorus. Fireworks light up the river as everyone comes together in one shared breath. And because Montréal never stops at midnight, the music takes over to keep us dancing well into the new year.  In collaboration with the City of Montreal, Tourism Montreal, and the Old Port of Montreal, Grand Minuit is becoming a new winter ritual.

It’s open to everyone. A celebration where human warmth melts the snow and where the stroke of midnight becomes something bigger – it's the moment we all say bye-bye to 2025... and bonjour to 2026.

On the lineup: live performances, luminous scenography, unexpected moments, and a collective countdown at the stroke of midnight, a shared ritual to usher in the New Year Families, friends, and the simply curious : come celebrate Montreal in all its winter brilliance. A new Montreal winter tradition begins here.

On the 31st, we’re bringing together the best of Quebec’s music scene for a unique medley that will light up the Grand Minuit stage. A lineup of homegrown talent will deliver a magical moment filled with emotion and pure joy to close out the very last night of 2025. See you at Grand Minuit! ✨
