Contest rules – 2023-2024 Skating Rink Survey 1. The contest is conducted by the Old Port of Montréal Corporation and runs from March 12 to 24, 2024 inclusive. CONTEST DURATION 2. Public launch of contest: March 11, 2024 at 23:59 Ending contest: March 24, 2024 at 12 am ELIGIBILITY 3. This contest is open to residents of Canada age 18 or older, except for employees, agents and representatives of the Old Port of Montréal Corporation, its advertising and promotional agencies, the suppliers of the prize(s), materials and services related to the current contest or of any other agent directly related to the contest, as well as members of their immediate families (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother), their legal or de facto spouses and all persons with whom said employees, agents and representatives are domiciled. HOW TO ENTER 4. NO PURCHASE REQUIRED. Clients are invited to complete the online questionnaire via the newsletter for Skating Rink Clients: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SkatingRingOPM2024 The participant must complete the contest form at the end of the survey. A winner will be selected at random among all entry completed forms received. PRIZES TO BE WON 5. Check of $200. DRAWING 6. The drawing will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 25, 2024 at Société du Vieux-Port de Montréal, 333 De la Commune Ouest, Montréal (Québec). GENERAL CONDITIONS 7. The odds of winning are determined by the number of valid entries received during the contest period. 8. The Old Port of Montréal Corporation will contact the winner by e-mail within three (3) working days. 9. The price will be sent by mail within 4 weeks. 10. The prize package has no monetary value and is non-transferable and non-extendible. 11. The contest organizer, its agents and representatives are not responsible for faulty transmission or the loss of data transmission due to defective computer equipment, software or communication, the failure or absence of network communication, or transmission malfunctions, errors, failures or difficulties caused by any computer or network that could limit or prevent the submission of entries. The contest organizer, his employees, agents and representatives are not responsible for damages or losses of any kind that could arise, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from downloading any Web page or any software, or by transmitting any materials pertaining to the contest. 12. The contest organizer reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify entries that are incomplete, damaged, irregular or that have been submitted through illicit means. In no event can the contest organizer be held responsible for lost, late or illegible entries, or for any problems of any kind whether mechanical, human, or electronic in the contest material. The contest organizer is also not responsible for any errors or omissions occurring in the printing of the contest’s promotional material. Entries are the sole property of the contest organizer and will not be returned for any reason. 13. Only one (1) participation per person and email address is permitted during all the contest period. 14. The grand prize must be accepted as described in these regulations and may not be replaced by or exchanged for any other prize. It may be transferred in whole or in part to another person subject to written authorization from the contest organizers. 15. The persons on behalf of whom the contest is held shall accept no liability whatsoever in any event where their inability to act is the result of an event or circumstance that is beyond their control, of a malfunction of a transmission line or of a strike, lockout or any other labour dispute in their establishments or firms whose services are used to hold this contest. 16. The contest organizer reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest in whole or in part at its sole discretion in the event of a computer virus or bug, unauthorized human intervention, or any other occurrence beyond its control that corrupts or adversely affects the administration, security, impartiality or normal operation of the contest, subject to the approval of the Régie des Alcools, des Courses et des Jeux du Québec, as the case may be. 17. The winner and his/her guest release from any liability the Old Port of Montréal Corporation, their affiliates, franchisees, parent companies and affiliated companies, their employees, agents and representatives for any damages they may suffer, including but not limited to, accident, injury, death, losses or delays related to baggage or personal items, lateness, mishaps, loss of amenities, annoyances, disappointments or physical or mental anxieties or frustrations, as a result of acceptance or use of the prize. 18. By entering the contest, the winner agrees to allow the contest organizer to use his/her name, photograph, likeness, voice or comments on the contest for promotional purposes in the media including the Web sites of the Old Port of Montréal Corporation, without compensation. 19. The contest is governed by these rules subject to modifications brought on by the contest organizer. All entrants agree to comply with the official contest rules and are presumed to have fully acquainted themselves with these rules. The contest rules, as explained in the present document, cannot be modified nor be included in a counter-offer except in the instances stated above. 20. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des Alcools, des Courses et des Jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
