Old Port of Montréal Corporation

With a strong reputation for high-quality customer service, the Corporation manages a site and facilities where a city and its river meet. It's a dynamic, diverse environment!

Our corporate services, including finance and administration, property management, marketing and human resources, provide support to the Corporation's two operating units.

Quays of the Old Port

Through its Quays of the Old Port business unit, the Corporation showcases the site's historic, maritime and port assets through a wide variety of events. It's a surprising, lively place!

The Quays:

  • offer on-site hospitality and information services;
  • produce events such as TELUS Fire on Ice;
  • book on-site events produced by third parties;
  • operate the Balade, the Port d'escale and Lachine Canal locks 1 and 2;
  • attract and retain concession holders operating maritime, sporting and outdoor activities and a range of food service operations;
  • operate an outdoor skating rink in winter;
  • administer over 2,000 parking spaces.

Montréal Science Centre

Thanks to the Montréal Science Centre, the Corporation helps promote an optimistic vision of the future through science and technology. It's an interactive, innovative place!

The Science Centre:

  • designs and produces permanent and temporary interactive science exhibits;
  • develops and presents cultural and educational activities with a science focus;
  • operates the IMAX®TELUS movie theatre and the interactive movie game;
  • provides hall rental services;
  • manages the service providers located on the King Edward Quay.
